Infantry Units

: Musketeer -- basic ranged infantry unit. Best against Marines
: Marine -- the fastest infantry unit in the game. This unit is best against Grenadiers
: Grenadier -- the strongest infantry unit in the game (except for the rifle man). This unit is best against Musketeers.
: Rifle Man -- this unit is invisible until he strikes making him best for sneaking up to an important enemy unit. This unit has a very large attack, but a very small amount of Hit Points.
: Minute Man -- American Unique Unit. Any worker can turn into a minute man for a small amount of gold. They can then turn back to workers for free. This unit is good if you need an army fast however they are not as strong as the regular infantry units.
: Gendarmerie -- French Unique Unit. This unit is best for guarding your town with. When in friendly territory, this unit is very powerful, however outside your territory, this unit is very weak.
: Partisan -- Spanish Unique Unit. This unit (like the Rifle Man) is invisible unit he strikes. Also this unit is the only unit that can see an enemy Settler.



Cavalry Units

: Cuirassier -- This unit is very effective against infantry. It is also good against Hussars, however Dragoons will easily defeat them.
: Dragoon -- A ranged cavalry unit. Best used against Cuirassiers.
: Hussar -- Another ranged cavalry unit. Good against Dragoons, however this unit is also good for raiding an enemy town since Territory Damage has very little effect on this unit.
: Cavalry Scout -- A scout unit. A lot faster than the infantry scout.
: Cossack -- Russian Unique Unit. A strong cavalry unit. Best used against infantry.



Artillery & Ships

: Cannon (unpacked/packed) -- There are two types of cannon in Hands to Quarters. A Siege Cannon, which is a powerful cannon able to take out town centers, and an Anti-Infantry cannon which can take out infantry easily. Both cannon types have to be packed before they can move and unpacked before the can attack.
: Rocket -- English Unique Unit...a powerful anti-infantry unit. This unit also has to be packed to move and unpacked to attack.
: Sloop of War -- The weakest ship of war. This ship however is very fast making it a good ship to scout the water.
: Frigate -- Much more powerful than the sloop. This ship is good for finding the locations of enemy ships.
: Ship of the Line -- The most powerful ship afloat. This ship will be the main force of any fleet. They are slow, but extremely powerful.



Economic Units

: Worker -- Gathers resources and stores them in the nearest Storage Shed/Building or Town Center.
: Settler -- This unit is able to build more Town Centers. This unit is also invisible to any enemy unit (except for the
Partisan).
: Builder -- This unit is able to build Towers, Storage Buildings, Hospitals and Mills. These buildings can be built anywhere except in enemy territory.
: Fishing Boat -- A unit that gathers food from the water.
